About the event

Join Lauren and Jenny for this midwinter nurturing and grounding practice combining all the things we love: ceremonial cacao, Yin yoga, Nidra and Tibetan Bowls. After drinking a cup of cacao together, Lauren and Jenny will guide you to a place of deep relaxation through Yin yoga and Yoga Nidra, accompanied by the healing sounds of Tibetan bowls.

Date: Saturday 31st August

Time: 6pm

Price: $40 Your hosts: Jenny completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2021 and from there, naturally found her passion teaching yin, restorative and yoga nidra. Having been a massage therapist for over 20 years, Jenny’s major focus has always been bringing her clients to a place of relaxation, in which profound healing can take place. This remains her focus through her yoga classes. Also a practitioner of myofascial release, Jenny knows that yin and restorative yoga can both help release fascia. A healthy myofascial system means the body has to effort less to function in this world and this in turn creates more energy. Yin and restorative yoga will leave people feeling both rested and energised, well-equipped to embrace all of life. Lauren is qualified in a variety of embodiment practices such as Yin & restorative yoga, Supportive somatic tools for the nervous system, Trauma informed facilitation, Somatic dance, Laughter yoga, Sound healing, reiki, Cacao circles, Myofascial release massage, and Shaking medicine facilitation. Lauren creatively weaves in the power of contemplation through compassionate self enquiry through journaling, poetry and vision boards. She went on to found Journeyin, a platform where she could bring all her offerings to the local community and across Aotearoa and the U.K. Her passion lies in creatively integrating these embodied modalities to create joyful, fun, supportive spaces, foster community connections, and invite opportunities for individuals to regulate their nervous systems through creative self expression. Currently, she is progressing towards completing her 200 hours of SomaPsychs Trauma informed Embodied practices, social justice and system change.
